Anisul mourns death of Ibrahim Khaled
DHAKA, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of
prominent economist and former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank Khondkar
Ibrahim Khaled.
“Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled is an unforgettable name in the country’s
banking and financial sector. He played a very important role in the sector
with utmost dedication and honesty for long,” the law minister said in a
message of condolence.
Anisul Huq prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled passed away while undergoing treatment at the
intensive care unit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU)
Hospital early today. He was 80.
