DHAKA, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road
Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed deep shock and
sorrow at the death of eminent economist and former deputy governor of
Bangladesh Bank Khondkar Ibrahim Khaled.
In a message of condolence, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Ibrahim Khaled breathed his last at 5:45am on Wednesday at the intensive
care unit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital
here.
He was 80. He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of
relatives, friends and well wishers to mourn his death.
