Four held with 10-kg ganja in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Feb 24, 2021 (BSS) – Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) seized
10 kg of smuggled ganja and arrested four drug traders from Modern Mour area
under Tazhat police station in the metropolis on Tuesday evening.
“An operational team of Tazhat police station conducted a raid there and
arrested four drug traders with the smuggled ganja,” said a press release
issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DB) of RpMP Uttam Kumar
Pathak today.
The arrested people are: Mossarraf Hossain, Hafizur Rahman and Hossain
Ali of village Kuthi Chandrakhana in Phulbari upazila of Kurigram and
Nurunnabi Mian of village Kurtipaul in Pirgachha upazila of Rangpur
districts.
“A case was filed against the arrested person with Tazhat police station
of RpMP under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018,” the release added.
