Four shops fined Tk 21,500 in Gopalganj
GOPALGANJ, Feb 23, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court of district administration in a daylong drive fined four shop including a fertilizer shop Taka 21,500 at Tilchhara Bazar under Kashiani upazila of the district today for expiring date and not having a price list on the packet.
A team of Consumer Rights Department led by Assistant Director of the department Shamim Hasan of District Administration conducted the drive at the Tilchhara Bazar under Kashiani upazila and found various irregularities at Sardar enterprise fertilizer shop including three grocery shops for preparing possessing and selling food and other consumer items in unhygienic condition.
“The fine has been imposed under the Consumer Rights Protection Act (CRPA),” Shamim Hasan said adding that a district police team assisted in the operation.
