NATORE, Feb 23, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 52 heifers were distributed among ethnic people as government incentive in Sadar Upazila this afternoon.
Md Shafiqul Islam Shimul, MP, handed over the heifer (cows which has no calf) at a function organized by Livestock Department on the Upazila Parishad premises.
With Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Jahangir Alam in the chair, the function was addressed, among others, by Zilla Livestock Officer Dr Md Golam Mostofa, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Shariful Islam Ramzan, Natore municipality mayor Uma Chowdhury Jolly, AL leader Anowar Hossain Anu and Prodip Lakda.
The plain land indigenous people also got an amount of food for their heifer and tin for making cows’ house in the function.
