Language Martyrs Day observed in Jamalpur
JAMALPUR, Feb 21, 2021 (BSS) – Language Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day was observed in the district in a befitting manner today.
The day’s programme began with paying homage to the language martyrs at central Shaheed Minar in the town.
Engineer Mozaffar Hossain, MP, placed floral wreaths at the Shaheed Minar at one past 12 midnight last night.
It was followed by local administration, Zila Parishad, Jamalpur municipality, freedom fighters, Civil Surgeon Office, Upazila Parishad, District Bar Association, political parties, Ansar, educational institutes, Jamalpur Press Club and social and cultural organisations.
Besides, local administration, political parties, educational institutes and various cultural and social organisations also chalked out separate programmes to observe the day.
