DHAKA, Feb 20, 2021 (BSS) – Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Ekushey Padak winner and renowned actor ATM Shamsuzzaman.
In a condolence message, the minister said the contribution of ATM Shamsuzzaman in the cultural arena will always be remembered by the Bengali nation.
“With his demise, the nation has lost one of the brightest stars of the cultural arena.” Momen said
He also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
Bangladesh National Film Award winner, ATM Shamsuzzaman, passed away at his residence at city’s Sutrapur area at around 8 am this morning.
He was 80. The veteran actor was suffering from old-age complications for a long , family sources said.
