3 motorcyclists killed in Brahmanbaria road accident

BRAHMANBARIA, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – Three motorcyclists were killed and one
other was injured in a road accident in a head-on collision with a motorcycle
and a tractor at Paniyarup village under Kasba upazila of the district last
night.

The deceased were identified as Iqbal Hossain, 23, son of Rabiul Miah of
Maijkhar (Rampur) village, Payel Miah, 21, son of Borhan Miah of Satpara area
of Shimrail village under Kasba upazila of the district and Amjad Hossain,
25, son of Abdul Quader of Miapara village under Bishalghar police station in
India.

Police said the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided head-on with a
fishing tractor coming from the opposite direction in the area around 10.30
pm, leaving three motorcyclists dead and injuring one on the spot.

The injured was sent to Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital for better
treatment, the sources added.

The tractor was seized but its driver escaped, said Mohammad Alamgir
Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kasba Police Station.
