10 houses gutted in Gopalganj fire
GOPALGANJ, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS)- Ten houses were gutted when a devastating
fire broke out at Baspur village under Kashiani upazila of the district
yesterday evening.
Locals sources said the fire originated from a kitchen oven of a house in
the evening and soon engulfed the adjacent houses.
Local people extinguished the blaze after two hours of frantic efforts. The
cash taka, goods and cows and goats in the house were completely burnt to
ashes in the fire.
Affected house owners claimed that commodities worth about Taka 20 lakh
were gutted in the fire.
Being informed, Kashiani Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rathindranath Roy
and Zila Parishad member Lutfar Rahman Luthu visited the spot.
