DHAKA, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of National University
(NU) Professor Dr Harun-or-Rashid today expressed profound shock at the death
of retired teacher of History Department of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr ABM
Mahmood.
“Dr ABM Mahmood was an internationally acclaimed historian and researcher.
He was an expert on the history of British-India… He was an honest,
dedicated teacher, non-communal and farm believer in the spirit of Liberation
War,” the NU VC said in a message of condolence.
Prof Dr Harun prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
sympathy to the bereaved family.
Prof Dr ABM Mahmood passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment at a
city hospital.
