Singapore stocks close 0.51 pct lower
SINGAPORE, Feb 17,2021 (BSS/XINHUA) – Singapore stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going down 0.51 percent, or 14.91 points, to close at 2,920.43.
A total of 1.99 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.06 billion Singapore dollars (about 798.55 million U.S. dollars). Gainers are equal to losers by 229 to 229.
The STI index went up 0.13 percent, or 3.82 points, to close at 2,935.34 on Tuesday.
