New army pilots receive ‘flying brevet’ badges

DHAKA, Feb 16, 2021 (BSS) – The closing and flying brevet handover
graduation ceremony of Aviation Basic Course-11 organised by Army Aviation
Group (AAG) was held at Tejgaon Airport in the city today.

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed was present as the chief guest and
provided the ‘flying brevet’ to the new army pilots, said an Inter-Services
Public Relations (ISPR) press release here.

Aviation Basic Course-11 started on August 25, 2019. In this course, a
total of 20 young army officers completed the basic flying training.

From the brevet handover ceremony, the officers are going to take the
challenge of performing a new job as an army pilot.

The AAG is the aviation unit of Bangladesh Army which started its journey
on January 01, 1978 as Army Aviation Flight. It conducts military air
operations and is responsible for doctrine, manning and configuration for all
aviation resources in the Army.
