Kings blow Arambagh away 6-1 as Becerra, Robson score hat-trick

DHAKA, Feb. 16, 2021 (BSS) – Argentine forward Raol Becerra and Brazilian
striker Robson slammed a brilliant hat-trick each as star-studded Bashundhara
Kings registered their biggest margin of victory in the ongoing Bangladesh
Premier League (BPL) Football crushing Arambagh Krira Sangha by 6-1 goals
held today.

Held at Shaheed Dhirendranath Stadium in Cumilla, Argentine forward Raol
Becerra and Brazilian striker Robson scored hat-trick with three goals each
for the Kings, who led the first half by 3-1 goals while forward Nihat Zaman
Ucchash scored the consolation goal for Arambagh KS.

These were the third and fourth hat-tricks in the ongoing league after
Sheikh Jamal’s Gambian forward Pa Omar Jobe and Sheikh Russel’s Nigerian
midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Moneke scored the first and second hat-tricks
respectively in the league.

Bashundhara Kings launched early attack and got the reap immediately when
Bacerra opened an account early scoring the first goal in the very 3rd minute
while Ucchash restored the parity for Arambagh in the 16th minute.

Robson again put Kings ahead scoring his first and second goal for his
team in the 32nd minute while he further widened the margin scoring his
second and third for Bashundhara in the 42nd minute.

After resumption, Bacerra opened the flood gate scoring his second and
fourth goal for Bashundhara in the 65th minute while he completed his hat-
trick scoring his third and fifth goal for his team in the 74th minute of the
match.

Robson sealed the victory as he also completed the day’s second hat-trick
scoring his third and sixth goal for Bashundhara in the 77th minute of the
match.

Bashundhara Kings dominated the entire proceeding and notched their
deserving victory while Arambagh KS were totally off-colored, except the
day’s lone goal.

The day’s win saw, Bashundhara Kings maintained their domination in the
league table with 25 points from nine matches while Arambagh KS yet to open
their account playing eight matches.

Bashundhara Kings will play their next match again against Saif Sporting
Club scheduled to be held on Saturday (Feb. 20) at Bangabandhu National
Stadium (BNS) while Arambagh Krira Sangha will play against Uttar Baridhara
Club on the same day at Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi.

Wednesday’s matches: Mohammedan SC vs Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends
Society at Shaheed Dhirendranath Stadium in Tongi at 3 pm, Bangladesh
Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra vs Bangladesh Police Football Club at BNS at
3.30 pm and Chittagong Abahani Limited vs Brothers Union Club at BNS 6 pm.
