Construction worker dies falling from multi-storey building
DHAKA, Feb 16, 2021 (BSS ) – A 20-year-old welding mechanic identified as Md Majnu was killed as he fell from a multi-storey building in Ispahani Colony area of Magbazar here, witnesses and police sources said.
“The accident took place around 12.30 pm today . . . Majnu fell down from a 13-storey under-construction building while working with a welding machine there,” his fellow worker Biplob told BSS at the hospital.
Seriously injured, the victim was rushed to the Dhaka Medical college and hospital (DMCH), where he was declared dead, police inspector of DMCH output post Bachchu Mia said.
The body was kept at the DMCH morgue, he added.
