Murtoza reelected president, Benu secretary of BCCCI
DHAKA, Feb 14, 2021 (BSS) – Gazi Golam Murtoza was reelected as president
while Shahjahan Mridha Benu as secretary of the Bangladesh China Chamber of
Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) respectively for the period of 2021-2023.
Murtoza, is the deputy managing director of Gazi Group while Benu is the
chairman of Agro Business Ltd.
Besides, Al Mamun Mridha, managing director of Mridha Business Ltd. has
been reelected as joint secretary general of BCCCI, said a press release.
Earlier, the election to the BCCCI was held on February 8 while the
results were published today.
Md. Mursheduzzaman, chief of the election board, declared the election
results in an auspicious occasion held on the BCCCI office premises.
Meanwhile, the newly elected executive committee of BCCCI for the period
of 2021-2023 took over the charge officially today at a handover ceremony
held at the BCCCI office today.
Besides, Brig. Gen (retd) Shah Md. Sultan Uddin Iqbal, managing director
of Lumbini Limited, Md. Harun-Ar-Rashid, managing director of APEX Weaving &
Finishing Mills Ltd., ATM Azizul Akil David, managing director of Aridod Tech
Serve Ltd. were reelected as senior vice president of BCCCI.
Badrul Alam Khan, director of Gazi Group, Mohammad Ishaqul Hossain Sweet,
proprietor of M/S Tohfa Enterprise, Md. Nizamuddin Chowdhury, chairman of
Platinum Tissue And Paper Ind. Ltd & Md. Shahid Alam, vice chairman of Shah
Fatehullah Textile Mills Limited, were also reelected as vice president of
BCCCI.
The other Executive Committee members are – Ms. Meherun Nessa Islam,
president & group managing director of CEMS Ltd, Engr. Md. Shafiqur Rahman,
managing director of Hams Garments Ltd, Md. Faizul Alam, managing director of
Savor International Limited, Syed Aminul Kabir, CEO of May International
Trade Services Ltd., SK. Amin Uddin, CEO of Akij Motors, MD. Naim Hossain
Bhuiyan, Owner of Trim Trading Corporation, Li Xiao, country manager of Union
Resources & Engineering Co., Ltd, Wasim Zakariah, director of Posh Garments
Limited, Hafiz U Biplob, managing director United HVAC Ltd, Md. Monirul
Islam, managing director MAAK FURNITURE LTD and Nasima Jahan Bijly,
proprietor of NAZABI.
Later, the first executive meeting of BCCCI was also held.
