Momen, Dipu Moni mourn death of journalist Shaheen Reza Noor
DHAKA, Feb 13, 2021 (BSS) – Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and
education minister Dr Dipu Moni today expressed profound shock and sorrow at
the death of Shaheen Reza Noor, a noted journalist and son of martyred
journalist Sirajuddin Hossain.
In separate condolence messages, the ministers recalled Noor’s
contribution to the anti-autocratic movements as well as in the field of
journalism.
They also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, Dhaka South City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh
Fazle Noor Taposh also condoled the death of Noor and conveyed deep sympathy
to the bereaved family.
Noor, a former journalist of the Daily Ittefaq and former president of
‘Projonmo-71’, breathed his last at a hospital in Vancouver in Canada around
10:40 am (Bangladesh time) today at the age of 66.
He was suffering from pancreatic cancer and other physical
complications.
