‘Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2021’ begins in Khulna tomorrow
KHULNA, Feb 11, 2021 (BSS) – As part of the countrywide “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Dhaka Marathon-2021”, Khulna district and upazila level marathon will begin here tomorrow (Friday).
The marathon will continue on February 13, 26 and 27 in district level while February 19 and 20 in upazila level.
Marking the ‘Mujib Year’, around 10 lakh people are virtually participating in the marathon across the country.
To make the programme a success, a preparatory meeting was held on February 4 at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room with DC Md Helal Hossain in the chair.
Organized by Bangladesh Army, district level inauguration ceremony of the marathon will begin at 8.00am at Shibbari intersection in the city.
It will end at Shaheed Hadis Park after parading five kilometers different city roads.
The meeting also urged citizens irrespective of ages for their registration in marathon and adding the participants will join through an identified apps with giving details information including participants name and e-mail address.
