DHAKA, Feb 9, 2021 (BSS)- Bangabandhu Inter-district U-16 Basketball Championship begins tomorrow (Wednesday)at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
National Sports Council Secretary Mohammad Masud Karim is expected to inaugurate the meet as the chief guest.
Organised by Bangladesh Basketball Federation, a total of nine district teams, split into two groups, are taking part in the meet, which will be held to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The participating teams:
Group A – Chattogram, Khulna, Dinajpur, Jessore and Chandpur districts.
Group B – Dhaka, Rajshahi, Gazipur and Cumilla districts.
