2 held with smuggled goods in Joypurhat
JOYPURHAT, Feb 9, 2021 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate
drives arrested two persons along with smuggled goods worth Taka over 24.65
lakh today in the district, BGB sources said.
The arrested persons were identified as Anwar Hossain, 19, and Mir
Shahid, 30.
BGB conducted the drives in different border areas of the district and
arrested them with 602 bottles of phensidyl, 70,000 pieces of cow fattening
tablets, 4-kg of ganja and 7 bottles of liquor, BGB sources said.
Lt Col Muhammad Ferdous Hasan Tito, commander of BGB-20 Battalion
Joypurhat said the estimated value of the seized goods worth Taka over 24.65
lakh
