Covid-19 vaccination begins in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, Feb 7, 2021 (BSS) –The vaccination for Covid-19 began in the district today amid enthusiasm as part of the countrywide programme.
Debiganj upazila chairman Abdul Malek Chistee and UNO Prottoy Hasan inaugurated the vaccination programme at the upazila health complex this morning.
Upazila health and family planning officer Dr. Hasinur Rahman received the first Covid-19 vaccine in the district.
“We have got 273 vial of vaccine and a total of 2730 people will get Covid-19 vaccine in the first phase” Dr. Hasinur Rahman said.
Later, upazila chairman Abdul Malek Chistee, upazila Awami League president Gias Uddin Chowdhury and freedom fighters received the vaccine on the opening day.
