150 people received corona vaccine on first day in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 7, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 150 people, 122 male and 28 females, received the much awaited vaccine of COVID-19 in the district on the first day of the countrywide vaccination programme.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Manjurul Hafij inaugurated the programme in the district receiving the vaccine at Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital at 10 am.
Later, civil surgeon of the district Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury, deputy director of Family Welfare Department Dr. Abdus Salam and others received the vaccine.
Chapainawabganj has so far got 4,800 vial of vaccines and around 3,000 people have registered for taking the vaccine, said civil surgeon Dr Jahid Nazrul.
The vaccine will be pushed at Sadar Hospital and four other upazila health complexes, he further added.
