Vaccination starts in Netrakona with enthusiasm
NETRAKONA Feb 7, 2021 (BSS) – The COVID-19 vaccination began in the district today amid enthusiasm as a part of countrywide vaccination programme.
State minister for social welfare and valiant freedom fighter Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, MP inaugurated the vaccinationat EPI Bhaban of Netrakona Sadar Hospital.
Later, Ashim Kumar Ukil, MP, deputy commissioner Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, police super Akber Ali Munshi and civil Surgeon Dr. Salim Miah received the coronavirus vaccines.
During the inaugural function, the state minister urged all to take the COVID-19 vaccine without any fear and hesitation.
Civil surgeon Dr Salim Mia informed that district health department has so far received 72,000 COVID-19 vaccines.
Meanwhile, 3,441 people have registered their names to get the vaccines.
On the inaugural day, a total of 407 people were given COVID-19 vaccine in the district, he added.
