Humayun for creating skilled human resources

DHAKA, Feb 7, 2021 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today underscored the need for creating skilled human resources in the industrial sector to build an industrialized country.

“In order to achieve the success of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), the highest emphasis has to be placed on efficiency development. In order to increase the productivity, it is necessary to involve more people in the industrial sector by increasing the use of the technology and creating skilled human resources,” he said.

The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a participatory consultancy program organized by the Ministry of Industries and in collaboration with the Technical Assistance Component of the Prism Program to formulate the New National Industrial Policy-2021, said a press release.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder was present as the special guest at the workshop chaired by Industries Secretary KM Ali Azam.

Humayun said that environment friendly industrialization is essential for sustainable economic development.

To this end, he said the government is focusing on building environment-friendly factories.

In order to achieve the success of the 4IR, he said, the main objective of formulating this new National Industrial Policy 2021 is to achieve the target of growth through industrialization.

Kamal Ahmed Mojumder said the most important priority will be given to the development of the interests of the workers and entrepreneurship in the formulation of the new National Industrial Policy-2021.

Emphasizing the importance of the environment in industrialization, he said, “Industrial policy will be formulated by ensuring the establishment of factories at designated places considering the protection of the environment.”
