DHAKA, Feb 6, 2021 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin
Sharmin Chaudhury, MP, was awarded with the “Women of the Decade in
Public Life and Leadership Award” by the Women Economic Forum (WEF) in
a global summit.
The award was presented to the speaker at the ‘Asian Women
Entrepreneurs Summit 2021’ organized by the Bangladesh-India Business
Council of the Women Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI)
today, a press release.
The award was given to her in recognition of her long work in
women’s development as the speaker was informed regarding it through a
WICCI letter signed by WICCI founder president Dr Harbeen Arora.
The Speaker was virtually attended the first day of the 2-day
summit (6-7 February, 2021) virtually as the chief guest.
