Inter-upazila Open Women’s Handball tournament held
DHAKA, Feb 6, 2021 (BSS) – Rangamati Sadar Handball team emerged champions in the Bangabandhu birth centenary Inter-upazila Open Women’s Handball tournament beating Rangamati Municipality Handball team by 16-2 goals in the final that concluded today in Rangamati.
The winners’ led the first half by 4-2 goals.
The champions received Taka ten thousand while the runners-up got Taka five thousand as prize money. Tisha of Rangamati Sadar Handball team was named the best player of the meet and given Taka one thousand as prize money.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Food Ministry Dipankar Talukder, MP distributed the prizes in the final as the chief guest.
Organised by Rangamati District Sports Association in cooperation of Bangladesh Handball Federation, the two-day tournament was arranged marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
