DUTA terms Al Jazeera’s report as ‘false and fabricated’

DHAKA, Feb 4, 2021 (BSS) – Dhaka University Teachers Association
(DUTA) has protested and condemned the recently published Al Jazeera
report terming it as ‘False and Fabricated’ as it was produced
violating the ethics of journalism.

“It is expected that media publish news stories covering
inconsistency of the society and country but what Al Jazeera publishes
in the name of investigative journalism goes against the ethics of
journalism,” said a DUTA statement today.

The statement, signed by its President Dr Md Rahmat Ullah and
General Secretary Nizamol Haque Bhuiyan, also said the report titled
‘All the Prime Minister’s Men’ was made applying special influence
with excessive background music instead of giving proper documents or
proof, which raised question over its legal ground.

In the report, comments were used as source of some people who have
been conspiring against the country for long, read the statement.

The university teachers urged the Qatar based news channel to
practice journalism maintaining objectivity and following ethics of
journalism instead of playing a partial political role with some
agenda.

DUTA urged the government to take stern action against those who
are conspiring against the country from home and abroad.
