Air strike kills 28 civilians in Syria’s Deir Ezzor: monitor
BEIRUT, July 13, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – An air strike has killed 28 civilians in
one of the last holdouts of the Islamic State group in Syria’s eastern
province of Deir Ezzor, a war monitor said on Friday.
It was not immediately clear if the raid that took place late on Thursday
on a “gathering of civilians” near the village on Al-Soussa near the Iraqi
border was carried out by an Iraqi plane or one of the US-led coalition
fighting IS, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said.
