3 eateries fined for flouting rules
RAJSHAHI, July 13, 2018 (BSS) – Three eateries were fined Taka 20,000 in
Rajshahi yesterday for allegedly manufacturing and selling unhygienic and
sub-standard food items.
A team of Department of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP)
conducted a drive in BSCIC Industrial Estate in the city and found that three
food shops – Rabiul Store, Satota Bakery and Shambhunath Special Chanachur –
were preparing foods in unhygienic condition and selling sub-standard food
items.
The team fined the owners of the shops Taka 20,000 and realised the
amount instantly.
DNCRP Assistant Director Apurba Adhikary said such drive against the
violators of consumers’ rights will continue.
