10th death anniversary of info minister’s father observed
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 2, 2021 (BSS) – The 10th death anniversary of eminent lawyer, one of the organisers of Liberation War, former president of Chittagong Bar Association, Public Prosecutor (PP) and Information Minister Hasan Mahmud’s father Alhaj Advocate Nurussafa Talukder was observed today.
Marking the anniversary, different socio-cultural, religious and political organisations arranged Qurankhawni, Doa and Milad Mahfil at various places in Chattogram.
A Milad and Doa mahfil was organised by Chattogram District Bar Association at Chattogram court Jamia Masjid building after Johr prayers. In the milad and doa mahfil, a special munajat was offered seeking peace of the departed soul of late Nurussafa Talukder.
CDBA President Advocate Syed Moktar Ahmed, its General Secretary Advocate HM Zia Uddin, City Awami League Vice President Advocate Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul, Advocate Iftekhar Simul Chowdhury and social worker Khaled Mahmud, another son of Nurussafa Talukder, took part in the milad and Doa Mahfil.
Earlier, various socio cultural and political organisations placed wreaths at the graveyard of Advocate Nurussafa Talukdar at his native village this morning.
Rangunia Upazila Awami League also observed the tenth death anniversary of Alhaj Nurussafa Talukder at its office.
Upazila Awami League vice-president Abdul Qayyum Talukder presided over the function while district AL leaders Nazrul Islam Talukder, Idris Azgar, District Krishak League General Secretary Shafiqul Islam, its Joint Secretary Iqbal Hossain and Office Secretary Abu Taher took part in the milad mahfil.
Besides, different social, religious and political organizations carried out various programmes including recitation of holy Quran, Doa and Milad Mahfil, on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Pomra union Awami League organised a doa and milad mahfil at the Pomra Bacha Shah (Rah:) mazar premises under Rangunia upazila today.
Leaders of different tires of upazila AL participated in the function.
Alhaj Nurussafa Talukder died of old age complication on this day in 2011.
