One held with 128 litres of wine in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Feb 2, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 128 litres of home-made wine from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila this afternoon.
The arrested person Md. Jamirul Islam, 31, is a resident of Nayanshuka Kathaliapara under Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB said, acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Uparajarampur intersection under the municipality at 2:45 pm and detained a battery-run auto-rickshaw in which the wine was found.
RAB also arrested Jamirul in this connection.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of sadar thana.
A case was filed in this connection.
