DHAKA, Feb. 2, 2021 (BSS)- It was an extraordinary performance by Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club as they came from behind to snatch a remarkable 3-2 triumph from Saif Sporting Club in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here.

In the day’s match, Gambian forward Solomon King scored a brace while forward Nurul Absar netted one goal to secure victory for Sheikh Jamal, who trailed the first half by 0-2 goals. Forward Foysal Ahmed Fahim and Nigerian striker John Okoli scored one goal apiece for Saif SC.

After the resumption, Sheikh Jamal came to the field in a more organized way and they were desperate to fight back in the match when Sulayman Sillah’s header from the close range sailed harmlessly over the crossbar in the 49th minute.

Sheikh Jamal continued their onslaught and missed a certain goal as Shakil’s header from the danger zone was brilliantly cleared by Saif’s defender Rahmat Mia from the goal line in the 71st minute.

Solomon King finally reduced the margin for Sheikh Jamal with a perfect back header from inside the danger zone capitalizing a free kick from Otabek, who did the spade work from right wing in the 75th minute.
