National Food Safety Day observed in Shariatpur
SHARIATPUR, Feb 2, 2021 (BSS) – The National Food Safety Day-2021 was observed in the district as elsewhere in the country to raise mass awareness regarding the activities and producers for producing and distributing safe food.
The day’s them for this year was “Sustainable Development- Enriched Nation: Bangladesh of Safe Food”.
Marking the day, a discussion on ‘food safety’ was held at 11 am in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner organized by Shariatpur district administration and district food safety authority.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Parvez Hasan was present as the chief guest at the function with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Shamim Hossain in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Abdullah-al-Murad attended the function as the special guest, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Md. Amir Hamza, District Awami League General Secretary Anol Kumar Dey, representatives of various professions including officials of various government and non-government departments also participated.
