4 illegal brick kilns demolished in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – A mobile court in a series of drives on Sunday demolished four illegal brick kilns for violating environmental laws and constructing other unlawful structures polluting the environment.
The district administration in cooperation with the Department of Environment Directorate, Forest Department, Fire service and Police conducted the mobile court at the four brick kilns in Chandanaish upazila of the district today.
The mobile court led by executive magistrate S M Alamgir conducted the drives in four brickfields located at different areas of the upazila.
The mobile court also seized fire wood from the brickfields during the day-long drive.
S M Alamgir said that the four brick kilns were demolished for violating Brick Manufacturing and kilns Installation Control Act -2013.
The drive against the illegal brick kilns will continue in Chattogram according to the High Court orders, he added.
