Laxmi Bazar to get playground on newly recovered land
DHAKA, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is going to set up playground on the recently-recovered land in Old Dhaka’s Laxmi Bazar area as its Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh approved this at an official meeting this afternoon.
The mayor said there are shortages of playgrounds in Dhaka, hindering the mental physical growth of the children and teenagers which caused adversarial impact on public health
The Mayor has instructed us to set up a playground on the recovered land in the Laxmi Bazar area after demolishing an illegal market,” DSCC Chief Executive Officer ABM Amin Ullah Nuri said.
The DSCC on January 28 evicted the illegal market on 73-74 Suvash Bose Avenue, beside Laxmi Bazar main road, demolishing around 40 garments stores and kitchen market.
