Media, judiciary last hope of people’s trust: BSS MD
MUNSHIGANJ, Jan 31, 2021 (BSS) – Managing Director and Chief Editor
of the state-run national news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
(BSS), Abul Kalam Azad has said the media and judiciary are the last
hope of the people’s trust.
“Media and judiciary are the last hope of the people’s confidence
and that is why all concerned should play their due role responsibly
and maintain objectivity while producing news,” he told the award
giving ceremony as the chief guest of the Lohajong Press Club in
Munshiganj on Saturday.
He was awarded as the chief advisor to the press club. The Lohajong
Press Club presented the award to the BSS MD at its temporary office
at Ghordaur Bazar in the upazila.
Earlier, the officials of the press club greeted Abul Kalam Azad
with a bouquet of flowers.
The BSS MD also urged all concerned to make justification before
publishing news to clear reader’s confusion.
