DU-SCHOLARSHIPS
Eight DU students get scholarship
DHAKA, July 12, 2018 (BSS) – Four meritorious students of Dhaka
University (DU) were awarded “Mustafizur Rahman Khan–Saleha Khanam Memorial
Scholarship” for securing the highest CGPA in BBA Honors and BSS Honors
examinations while four others received “Prof. Mahfuza Khanam-Barrister
Shafique Ahmed Scholarship” for securing the highest CGPA in BS Honors and
LLB Honors examinations.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman handed over the
scholarships among the students as the chief guest at a function held today
at the VC’s lounge of the university.
Treasurer of DU Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin, Dean of the Faculty of Law
Prof. Dr. Md. Rahmat Ullah, Dean of the Faculty of Social Science Prof. Dr.
Sadeka Halim, Chairman of the Department of Physics Prof. Dr. Md. Abdus
Sattar, Chairperson of the Department of Women and Gender Studies Dr. Sanzida
Akhter, donor of the trust fund Prof. Mahfuza Khanam and DU Acting Registrar
Md. Enamuzzaman were present on this occasion.
The recipients of “Mustafizur Rahman Khan- Saleha Khanam Memorial
Scholarship” are- Afrin Sultana (Banking & Insurance), Al Amin Biswas
(Banking & Insurance), Halima-Tus- Sadia (Women and Gender Studies) and Kazi
Al Amin (Women & Gender Studies).
The recipients of “Prof Mahfuza Khanam-Barrister Shafique Ahmed
Scholarship” are – Pulak Das Gupta (Physics), Nandita Deb (Physics), Nasrin
Akter (Law) and Md Abu Sayem (Law).
