TRIAL-DEATH-SENTENCE
One to die for killing wife in Kushtia
KUSHTIA, July 12, 2018 (BSS) – A court here today sentenced one person to
death for killing his wife at Naudapara village under Bheramara upazila of
the district in 2009.
The court also fined convicted man Tarikul Islam Titu, 36, Taka 50,000.
Judge of Woman and Child Repression Control Tribunal Munshi M Mashiur
Rahman pronounced the verdict.
According to prosecution, Titu killed his wife Mele Akhter on July 6, 2009
for dowry.
The victim’s brother Jahangir Islam filed a murder case after that with
Bheramara police station.
Police after investigation submitted charge-sheet before the court against
Titu.
Later, the judge examining the witnesses and evidences announced the
judgment.
