CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 26, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two pistols, four magazines and 11 rounds of bullet from Shibganj in the district on Monday.
The arrested person is Md. Shafiqul Islam, 39 of Durgapur village under Jambaria union of Bholahat upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
RAB said, acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Kansat Swashanghat area in Shibganj upazila of the district at 7 pm and found Shafiqul standing in front of the Swashanghat gate with the arms and ammunition.
Later, the RAB handed him over to the police of Shibganj thana and also filed a case in this connection.
