Four teams share lead in “Mujib Barsho” chess league

DHAKA, Jan. 25, 2021 (BSS) – Four teams are sharing lead in the points table with 10 points after the 6th round matches of “Mujib Barsho” 2nd Division Chess League now being held at National Sports Council tower auditorium in the city.

The four teams are BD Chess in School, Shahnoor Khan Smrity Sangsad, Legend Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess Team and Elegant International Chess Academy (Champion’s).

Sports Bangla and Elegant International Chess Academy (Elite) are are jointly sharing the leaders closely with 9 points.

Five teams are sharing the 3rd position with 8 points. The five teams are Rangpur Chess Players Kollayan Sangah, Grass roots Sports Academy, Bangladesh Police Prime Team, Mohammadpur Chess Club and Sonirakhra Chess Club.

In the 6th round matches were held today with BD Chess in School beat Shanoor Khan Smirity Sangsad by 3-1 game points, Legend Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain Chess Team beat Rangpur Chess Players Kollan Sangah by 3.5-0.5 game points, Elegant International Chess Academy (Champions) beat Latif Travels Chess Club Sylhet by 3-1 game points, Sports Bangla beat Arthur Yusupov Train Group by 4-0 game points, Elegant International Chess Academy (Elite) beat Bangladesh Police Crown team by 4-0 game points, Bangladesh Police Prime team beat Bangladesh Chess Arena (Green) by 3-1 game points, Grass root Sports Academy beat Youngster Chess Club by 3-1 game points, Mohammadpur Chess Club beat Sohel Smirity Sangsad by 3-1 game points, Sonirakhra Chess Club beat Tangail Chess Club beat by 2.5-1.5 game points, Nakhalpara Jubo Kallyan Sangah beat Dabar Troyi Agrojo Smaran Sangah (Red) by beat by 2.5-1.5 game points, Crescent Club drew with Bangladesh Chess Arena (Blue) by 2-2 game points, Pin Chess Club beat Dipali Memorial Club by 4-0 game points, Goalundo Chess Club beat Flame Boy’s Club by 4-0 game points, JU Chess Club drew with Elegant International Chess Academy (Bravo) by 2-2 game points, Dabar Troyi Agrojo Smaran Sangah (Green) drew with Daffodil International University by 2-2 game points, Debonair Chess Club beat Elegant International Chess Academy (Knight) by 3-1 game points, Abu Said Chess Club beat Masud Sports Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points, Fire Service & Civil Defense Sports Club beat Backward Pawns beat by 2.5-1.5 game points, Titas Club beat Dhaka Chess Academy by beat by 2.5-1.5 game points, BRAC Chess Club beat Xoom Auto by 4-0 game points, Bangladesh Police Star team beat Bangladesh Shishu Academy by 4-0 game points and Sports Bangla split point with BD Chess In School by 2-2 game points.

The 7th round matches start tomorrow (Tuesday) from 3 pm at same venue.
