REMAND-PK HALDER-AIDES
PK Halder’s two aides placed on 5-day remand
DHAKA, Jan 25, 2021 (BSS) – A court here placed two close accomplices of former managing director of NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Ltd Proshanta KumarHalder on a five-day remand in a graft case.
Court officials said the aides are former chairman of People’s Leasing Uzzal Kumar Nandi and International Leasing’s Managing Director Rashedul Haque.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM EmrulKayesh today passed the order following an appeal of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Gulshan Ara Prodhan.
Yesterday, the country’s anti-graft commission arrested them.
During the investigation into the case filed against PK Halder on charges of amassing wealth illegally and laundering money, the ACC also found them involved in the illegal activities.
