Bangladesh bats first in third ODI against West Indies

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 25, 2021 (BSS) – In a bid to sweep the three-match ODI series at clean margin, Bangladesh bats first in the third and final ODI at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here today.

West Indies skipper Jason Mohammed indeed decided to send Bangladesh in to batting after winning the toss.

The visitors had already lost the series, following its six wickets and seven wickets defeat to Bangladesh in the first two ODIs.

With an aim to avoid the whitewash and also earn 10 valuable ODI Super League points, West Indies, brought up two changes with fast bowler Keon Harding and wicket-keeper batsman Jahmar Hamilton replacing Andre McCarthy and Joshua Da Silva.

Bangladesh, aiming ODI series sweep, also made two changes, bringing up all-rounder Saifuddin and fast bowler Taskin Ahmed in the place of fast bowlers duo Hasan Mahmud and Rubel Hossain.

This will however be Taskin’s first one-day match since 2017.
