KCC mayor for real statistics for sustainable dev.
KHULNA, Jan 21, 2021 (BSS) – Khulna Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque here today stressed the need for real statistics for sustainable development of the country.
“Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has taken initiative first ever house and people census as he made country’s massive development in 1974,” the mayor made the remarks during the inaugural ceremony on two days house and people census training programme-2021 at the divisional statistics office as chief guest.
The mayor said, actual statistics picture can ensure country’s sustainable development.
Chaired by Joint Director of Khulna Divisional Statistics office Md Golam Mostofa, the training workshop, was addressed, among others, by Srifaltala Union Parishad Chairman of Rupsha upazila Md Ishaq Sardar.
The week-long House and People census is scheduled to begin on October 25 and to end on October 31, 2021.
