221 landless families to get houses in Narsingdi
NARSINGDI, Jan 21, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 221 landless and homeless families in six upazilas of the district are going to get brick-built houses as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of the ‘Mojib Borsho’ the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The district Relief and Rehabilitation Department is implementing the project work under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district.
Official sources said the construction work of 221 houses has already been completed. Of the total houses four houses in Sadar upazila, 25 in Polash upazila, 42 in Shibpur upazila, 45 in Monohardi upazila, 70 in Belabo upazila and 35 in Raipura upazila.
Two decimals of land for each of the landless 221 families were also allocated, said deputy commissioner Syeda Farhana Kawnine.
