Poacher held with tiger skin in Bagerhat
BAGERHAT, Jan 20, 2021 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion in a drive arrested a poacher with Royal Bengal tiger’s skin from Sarankhola Upazila in the district last night.
The arrestee was identified as Md Gaos Fokir.
RAB-8 said on information, they conducted a raid with the help of Sundarbans East Forest Division at Rayenda Bus stand at around 8 pm and arrested Gaos Fokir with the 8 feet long and 3 feet width tiger’s skin worth around TK 15 lakh.
Gaus Fokir who was sent to jail confessed RAB men that he killed the tiger few months ago in Sundarbans.
