Ex joint head of fisheries and livestock ministry Liaquat dies
DHAKA, Jan 19, 2021 (BSS) – Former joint head of Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Md Liaquat Ali died of COVID-19 at a city hospital yesterday at the age of 55.
He, also Project Director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre in Rajshahi and Joint Secretary to the Government, breathed his last at 9 pm, said a press release here.
He left behind his wife, three children, relatives and a host of friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
In separate condolence messages, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology Anwar Hossain and Fisheries and Livestock Secretary Raunak Mahmud expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Md Liaquat Ali.
They prayed for eternal peace of departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to bereaved family members.
