BGB seizes 80,000 yaba pills in Teknaf
DHAKA, Jan 18, 2021 (BSS) – The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 80,000 pieces of yaba tablets worth Tk 2.40 crore near bordering area Chowdhurypara Dwip of Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar last night.
A team of BGB conducted a raid in the area around 10:30pm on secret information and challenged two people who were carrying a plastic bag while crossing the boundary of Anwar project near Beribadh, said an official release here today.
Seeing the presence of the border guard force personnel, the duo fled away, leaving behind the bag, it said.
Later, the BGB members found the yaba pills inside the bag, the release added.
