CHATTOGRAM, Jan 18, 2021 (BSS) – A five-day training for 16,163 election officials to hold Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) polls smoothly has started here today.
The training program will run in nine centers in the port city.
Muhammad Hasanuzzaman, Returning Officer of CCC polls and Chattogram Regional Election Officer, told BSS that Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be used in all the 735 polling centers in CCC elections.
A total of 16 thousand 163 officers will receive training in five days for conducting smooth voting by EVM, he said.
Hasanuzzaman said that 11,000 EVMs have been prepared for voting. “Each booth will have two EVMs,” he added.
It may be mentioned that the CCC elections will be held on January 27. Voting will continue from 9 am to 5 pm. For this, 735 polling centers and 4,886 polling booths have been prepared so far.
