BHOLA, Jan 18, 2021 (BSS) – A total of 520 homeless and landless families here are going to get brick-built houses in the first phase as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The houses have been being constructed in different areas of seven upazilas of the district by allocating government khas land for the landless and homeless people at the special initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Of the houses, 182 are being built in Sadar upazila, 42 in Daulatkhan upazila, 28 in Borhanuddin upazila, 20 in Lalmohan upazila, 18 in Tazumuddin upazila, 30 in Char Fashion upazila and 200 in Manpura upazila.
The construction works of these houses nears completion. The upazila administrations are implementing the construction work of the houses under the supervision of the district administration.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Masud Alam Siddique said it was a special initiative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to provide houses to landless and homeless families on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
