DHAKA, July 11, 2018 (BSS)- Bangladesh A team’s batting woe continued on as the hosts still need another 88 runs to avoid innings defeat against visiting Sri Lanka A team on the second day of the third four-day unofficial Test held on Wednesday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.

After the end of the second day, Bangladesh A started their second innings were 57 for 1 with Soumya Sarkar with 24 and Mizanur Rahman with 13 on the crease as the stumps were drawn for the day.

Earlier, Sri Lanka resumed their first innings with overnight score at 78 for 3 and finally all out for 312, in reply to a Bangladesh first innings total at 167.

Thanks to overnight batsman Shehan Jayasuriya, for his magnificent 142-run off 155-ball. His knock that was studded with 15 boundaries and four over boundaries.

Middle order batsman Shammu Ashan (60), Manoj Sarathchandra (33) Malinda Pushpakumara (27) were the other notable scorers for the visiting side.

Sunjamul Islam finished his spell with 4 for 104 while bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman claimed 3 for 44.

Besides, Nayeem Islam took 2 for 95 for the host.
