Truck hits motorcyclist to death in Rangpur
RANGPUR, Jan 16, 2021 (BSS) – A motorcyclist was killed when a truck hit a motorcycle at Syedpur Bazar on the Rangpur-Sundarganj regional highway under Pirgachha upazila here this afternoon.
Police said the accident occurred when the Rangpur bound truck from Sundarganj collided head-on with the motorcycle from opposite directions there killing Titu on the spot and injuring two others.
“The deceased was identified as Titu Miah, 35, son of Shamsul Haque of village Paschim Parul in the same upazila,” said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pirgachha police station Md. Azizul Islam.
Two other passengers aboard the motorcycle Millat Hossain, 31, and Rakibul Islam, 30, of the same village were injured in the accident and rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
A case was filed in this connection with Pirgachha police station.
